Independent developer 3G Studios has announced Brave Arms, a new "social shooter" that is to be released exclusively on Facebook.

The FPS will allow players to create and customise avatars, which can then be taken into battle against friends in fully 3D environments. While taking part, players will earn points which can be cashed-in at the in-game store.

"Our new title, Brave Arms, will bring First-Person Shooter games to the masses," said 3G Studios CEO James Kosta. "It's about fast-paced action and either competing against or forming teams with your friends. We want people to feel empowered and to share in a real video game experience."

The game's gearing up for a beta, which you can be a part of by heading over to the game's Facebook page.
