Artefx	0 0 In response to Article » Go to 's original post I'll think you'll find that that Cameron is the producer for the xbox/ps3 versions, therefore his comments may not transfers over to the ps2/ds/wii versions. These versions may have different physics engines matched to these consoles hardware. The only problem with the pc as far as I can see it is that everyone has slightly different hardware therefore its not as easy to optimize as a console versions. Still seems like a lame excuse though. Reply

Most consoles haven't been modded, so being able to change the gameplay is non-existent. Since this story is the 'canon' story, or how it actually played out, LA wouldn't want modders going in and changing up maps. I'll also state that modding when the game has 3 separate physics engines wouldn't be easy. (I bet due able, but it would probably be well outside my limited modding skill). Next, there is no Multiplayer. Not for the consoles that really matter, anyway. The PS3 and the 360 are the most powerful of the consoles, thus most likely to be what we would see in a PC version of the game, and LA found it in their infinite wisdom to rob them of Multiplayer, while allowing 3rd party companies give their games MP. (Granted, it is limited). I am guessing that the decision to not put in MP was because they didn't want to go through the headache of making the 3 physics engines play nice with another console...just a thought. Also, DO NOT bring up the DS, Wii, or ps2 versions as a reason that we could easily run it on the computer. Do you seriously want to see their quality (without any of the so called 'revolutionary' physics engines that are somehow blocking a PC version) ported to the PC?!?!? I would go down to LA and shoot someone if they even tried to pass a ps2 port, with crappy graphics...no new physics engine...and no MP on the PC. Please, DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY IDEAS!!!!!!! That is my 2 cents worth. I do not believe that a majority of serious PC gamers will have anything but top of the line PCs. (God, a console is cheap enough that if you can't keep your PC up you should switch). Unfortunately, since that market share has gone down, the companies blame it on people pirating the game. Please note, I'm not saying that there aren't a lot of PC gamers. WOW goes to prove that there are PC gamers. Out of the dozen or so WOW players i know, only one is a serious PC gamer (I don't really count myself because I broke down and bought a 360 :(...). The goal in PC sales should not be to reach the sales of WOW, it should be to get the game out to people who would enjoy it as it is meant to be enjoyed. (In other words, screw the people who can't play it on PC...they should be used to upgrading or purchasing a console). The reason for that, apart from corporate blablabla, was that the game went out to be such a crap, it could only get away competing with console titles (which were very few for then new Xbox). When this TFU thing started, the fake screenshots and simulated trailer got me very excited, but as years went by, with real gameplay footage videos, I see that for me at least the game turned out to be a disappointment. Quacky movements, cheap visual effects, all those shining and sparkling stuff, soldiers hanging to each other and screaming "oh no, please, no" - I think the game is targeted mainly on teenagers, and those mainly use consoles their daddies buy them, as PC is too complicated and dangerous with all those porn web sites. So I think the game is crap for children (just like new Star Wars), and that's why it's not on PC. Anything worthy comes to PC, and often even to Macs these days. So cheer up guys... don't humiliate yourself by some stupid petitions - begging for some game to be sold to you?! You pay, so THEY should beg YOU to buy it... Don't let fat corporations turn the world upside down... Reply

It is like the previous guy said" why are you begging. the company shoud beg for your money. I tried Crysis, Doom 3, etc. same boring stuff. Farcry 1 was better. COD 4 is OK, Stop following the hype. Best game ever BF2. After that everything become boring, even eye candy. Tis begging is getting on my nerves. There are a lot of better games available. Reply

I am still angry at lucasfarce because its the princaple of the thing. I remember the days of X-wing and Dark Forces where lucasarts made themselves on the pc and now they abandon it due to a bunch of lies and piracy? everyone knows its not that bad a problem (just check the seeders for most new games and you'll find out^^) . The last game I played of lucasarts was republic commando for the PC and it was amazing. This game is also good fun. I hang my head in pity for lucasarts for they have shamed themselves this time. All I'm trying to say is that the game not being out on the PC doesn't matter to me, every serious gamer should have a console for when (justifiably) console only games come out. What bothers me is that lucasfarce has abandoned the people that built it and it would not suprise me if they lost alot of fans to this, I know I wont be buying them again. Reply

You don't expect a game to behave some way you work around so that you can satisfy your costumers or fans you don't go crying that you can't do it, sigh!! You should really learn from the guys at Crytek that not only made Physics Scalable but that the game behaves fairly right at low Physics and can be played in mid, mid-high end pc's, Crysis looks and behaves way much better than this great game will!!! I really was a fan of lucasart, damn, why do they had to f...d up that bad!! Reply

So what's the big deal of not making it for pc, if you are already making us buy high-end pc's "consolized" (xbox 360, ps3, wii, etc. = all high-end pc's customized in a way that common public can't upgrade or customize like pc's can!!
