The Buzz: Activision has filed a trademark for Dance Hero.

activision - First Guitar Hero, next Dance Hero?

Activision Blizzard has stated it plans to release a whole heap of Guitar Hero titles over the coming years, but it also appears the publisher could be moving into the dance video game market.

Kotaku reports that Activision has filed a trademark with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office for Dance Hero. The trademark was specifically filed for the purposes of "computer game software and related instruction manual sold together as a unit; interactive video game programs; computer game cartridges; computer game cassettes; computer game discs; downloadable computer game software; video game controllers; interactive video game comprised of a cartridge or DVD sold as a unit with a video game controller."

Just because Activision has filed the trademark, don't think this means the game is confirmed. We're still to see the titles Guitar Villain and Drum Villain which are both Activision trademarks. Dance Hero does, however, sound more likely.
