Puts an end to speculation that Nintendo will release a high definition Wii update in 2010.
Speaking on a GTTV Nintendo special, Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime has categorically ruled out the launch of the Wii HD.
"Michael [Pachter] continues to be the only one who believes this is going to happen," Fils-Aime told GTTV host Geoff Keighley.
"I don’t know how forcefully we can say that there is no Wii HD."
Only a few weeks ago on an episode of GT's Bonus Round, Wedbush Morgan analyst Michael Pachter said that he expects the Wii HD to be released in fall 2010.

And yes, a Metroid game in HD would be disgustingly good. Though, I don't think the next one will look as good artistically because Team Ninja are doing it instead of Retro, unless they're collaborating, in which case Retro better be working on new IP.
