Xbox 360 manages 391,000 units, PS3 276,000 units.

wii - February NPD: Wii shifts 753,000 units

According to figures released by the NPD Group, Nintendo's Wii console sold 753,000 units in the US during February. The Wii's strong sales are almost double that of the Xbox 360's 391,000 units and nearly half a million greater than the PS3's 276,000 units. Wii sales are up both over February 2008 (432,000) and January 2009 (679,200).

While the Wii came out the clear victor there were some positives to take away from the month for both Microsoft and Nintendo.

NPD analyst Anita Frazier commented: "The Xbox 360 realised its biggest non-holiday sales month, save for September 2007, when the Halo 3 release brought in a large group of new owners. Compared to last month, the PS3 realised the greatest month-over-month unit sales increase of all platforms."

Outside of the big three home consoles it was business as usual: Nintendo DS sold 588,000 units, PSP sold 199,000 units and the PS2 sold 131,000 units.
