2K Games and Twentieth Century Fox have announced an exclusive agreement to develop and publish video games based on the hit series Family Guy.
2K Games will work closely with the show's creator, Seth MacFarlane, to bring the comical family to current generation consoles. The game will be developed at High Voltage Software and will feature all the offbeat humour that has made the show such a fan favourite. The action/adventure game will focus on Peter Griffin, his evil genius son Stewie, and the talking dog Brian, as they wreak havoc on many of the series' most recognisable locations. Expect cameos from many of the show's other cast members.
"The irreverent and satirical Family Guy humour that has made the show a smash hit opens up exciting and untapped possibilities in game development," said Christoph Hartmann, Managing Director of 2K Games. "We are looking forward to bringing the colourful Family Guy characters to life in a one-of-a-kind action/adventure style game."
Family Guy the video game will be released on current-gen consoles in the autumn.
