fzero x -

The imminent release of F-Zero X on the Wii virtual console recently came to our attention when the game appeared with a rating on the ESRB website. Nintendo has today confirmed that the game is now available from the European Virtual Console, the 100th title on the Wii Channel.

F-Zero X, first released on the Nintendo 64, features over 30 different hover machines and more than 20 race tracks, each of which players can belt around at super high speeds while taking out the opposition in pursuit of glory.

The game features five different modes, including Time Attack, Death Race and multiplayer for up to four players split-screen. The only bad news is that being an N64 release it will set you back 1000 Wii Points - it's worth it though.

Also released this week, although in somewhat of a hefty shadow, is J.J. & Jeff, a side-scrolling platform game from the TurboGrafx. Players assume the role of either J.J. or Jeff, two bungling detective who must make their way through six levels solving kidnapping cases. J.J. & Jeff can be yours for 600 Wii Points.
