Euro PS3 likely to launch in September 2007
High placed industry sources believe that the supposed March 2007 PlayStation 3 release will likely end up being in September.
CVG reports that the PlayStation 3 is now likely to be released in Europe as late as September 2007. The information comes from undisclosed highly placed industry sources, who believe the March 2007 release is unlikely, citing component shortages as the primary cause of the delay.
With shortages already damaging sales of the PS3 in North America and Japan, it's not out of the question that the European launch will be put on hold until Sony can sustain stock of the PS3 in territories the console has already launched.
However, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe boss David Reeves has denied the claims, telling GamesIndustry.biz that all suggestions of a further European launch delay are merely speculation.
"We're still on schedule to launch PS3 in March throughout the PAL territories," said Reeves. "All speculation otherwise is without foundation."
Sony's denial is expected though; there's no way the company would announce a delay now and risk pushing potential PS3 buyers to rival platforms. If a delay were to happen, we likely wouldn't get an official announcement until a date much closer to March 2007.

IMO further delay Looks unlikely. Sony know they have used up all the goodwill thats out there. They have to launch - whether they have the consoles or not....
