Epic Games heads to the 2011 Games Developers Conference next week with the promise of demonstrating next-generation content running on Unreal Engine 3.

Billed as Epic's proposal for the next generational leap in gaming, the Unreal Engine 3-powered demonstration will take atmosphere, effects and human characters to new heights. The completely new, high-end demo will be shown to select licensees, partners, prospective customers and the media behind closed doors.

"This technology demonstration is nothing short of breathtaking. It reminds me of when we first showed Unreal Engine 3 to the world and people were amazed," said Epic Games president Dr. Michael Capps. "It's like seeing the Unreal Engine all over again for the very first time."

VideoGamer.com Analysis

Pushing gaming forward - especially from the technical standpoint - is what Epic has done over and over again down the years, so when the studio says it's going to deliver the next-generation, we believe them.
