Mark Rein says GamePro does not have any exclusive info on Gears of War 2.
A mention of Gears of War 2 on the upcoming cover of GamePro magazine has sent forum posting gamers into a bit of a frenzy over the last week, many predicting a full on reveal of the game is to be included inside the mag.
If such a reveal was included then it's safe to assume the magazine would feature a full-on Gears of War 2 cover story and not just a small logo to the side of the cover. All this aside, Epic Games vice president Mark Rein has posted on the developer's official Gears of War forum denying the mag will feature any official Gears of War 2 info.
"It is complete nonsense. We have not announced a sequel to Gears of War to Gamepro or anyone else for that matter," said Rein.
However, speculation remains that Epic and Microsoft will be announcing details of a Gears sequel at GDC which begins on February 18, 2008.
