EA finds a new Home on PS3

EA Sports Complex to launch within Home this spring.

EA has announced its initial plans for the PlayStation Home Beta on PlayStation 3, beginning the spring launch of the EA Sports Complex within the Home virtual world.

"We're proud to support the PlayStation Home Beta with a very robust offering from EA Sports," said Peter Moore, president of EA Sports. "As part of our continued commitment to the connected experience and the digitisation of our business, the EA Sports Complex is a rich new online environment that presents a compelling and immersive social gaming experience for the global sports audience."

The EA Sports Complex comes as a result of EA having worked closely with SCE in order to create a compelling experience for all EA Sports fans, with spaces for both casual and hardcore gamers. Through the EA Sports Complex gamers will be able to play exclusive new EA Sports multiplayer games, meet and interact with EA Sports fans, view daily, weekly and annual leaderboards and watch trailers for EA Sports games.

EA also revealed that it is working with SCE on further label support of PlayStation Home, with plans to be announced in the near future.

I think EA have done something right, I think it's good that they're supporting Sony.

EA will be benefit from this, as lot of people play Fifa 09 and FNR3 a lot. Something like this would get me going on home. Seeing as Warhawk has a map room and arrange matches, then surely SOCOM would have something familiar to Warhawk.
