Will also be able to read the movements of the player.

Speaking to Japanese newspaper Asahi Shimbun, Nintendo president Satoru Iwata has revealed a few details about the handheld that will succeed the hugely popular Nintendo DS.
On a new handheld, Iwata stated: "[It will have] highly detailed graphics, and it will be necessary to have a sensor with the ability to read the movements of people playing."
However, Iwata stopped there, noting that it was not the time to discuss when the DS successor will reach the market.

The motion controls system this hand held will have probably won't good the wii or natal and probably will only read hand movements on gestures, which which when you think about doesn't seem like such a bad idea, it probably won't make jump around in the open, which would seen stupid

Personally the day Nintendo release ANYTHING that is 'highly detailed' will be achievement enough, it's not something they normally try for. Their games and systems are usually simple in concept, shallow on extras and focus on 1 or 2 key aspects.
I'm wondering if this new handheld will basically be a Wii in a smaller casing. After all the internal workings of the Wii have been around for 3 years longer than the DS hardware (over 8 years ago) it should be easy for them to miniaturise the Wiis hardware into handheld format.

That's incredible though
I bet they call it something like the Nintendo MT or something like that. It won't be anything cool like the Nintendo Dik - Why not? They had the Wii :P
