Diablo on your handheld?

Blizzard ask readers if they would buy a PSP or DS version of Diablo II if a wireless enabled multiplayer mode was included.

Rumours that a handheld port of Blizzard's Diablo II is in the works have emerged after Blizzard sent out a newsletter asking readers if they would consider buying a Sony PSP or Nintendo DS version of if Diablo II featuring wireless multiplayer. In the same news letter Blizzard asked readers if they would buy a DS version of the classic RTS game Starcraft.

Blizzard has not confirmed anything as yet, but are definitely testing the waters for possible releases on the console formats. We will bring you more on this when we get it.

Yes it would be better to put on the ds as well as starcraft the psp would be very lame to play it on with one lame screen and no touch screen....

I think diablo would work well on the ds. I could see them doing something like putting the action on the bottom screen and using only touch controls for the gameplay and having shortcuts to get into the menus and skills. They might just have to take out the expansion set.

And some of you stupid kids need to stop being such Sony fanboys and learn to spell. No one cares if it's Sony or not, the fact is that their products are double the price for something half as good as the things other companies churn out.

Diablo would be better on the DS than the PSP.
Since when do PSP's have better graphics? They don't.
On a DS, you'd be able to move around and enjoy the game pretty much the same way you do on the PC. On a PSP, you'd get a little more view on the left and right sides, and loose a whole lot of control/menu optimization. It'd just be a waste of time to even attempt making it on a PSP.

I think putting diablo 2 and starcraft on a hand held consloe would be great and i would deffently pay for them expesually wen they wer so good online on the computer. It would probly be the same on DS or PSP so yea it would be awsem haveing lots of ppl online wile playing diablo 2 unlike some of the games that they have on DS and no ppl r online to play. so i would say put diablo 2 on DS and PSP and starcraft on DS coz of the touch screen...... DS FTW! =D

You guys are all F^%kin idiots psp is way better its called homebrew application you can do whatever you want on it i can play your stupid ass games on my psp but DS can't ds that!!!! I have a ds it sux ass! its boring as sh*t and besides why would you buy games wouldn't you rather download em'...????!???

Actually, using bochs you can emulate the windows OS. Doing it you could prolly get diablo 2 to run. Would it run smooth? hell no. but i'm pretty sure it might run.

@ Blizzard : I think that those combinations would result into many mistakes, slow gameplay and irritating controls. RTS Games on a PSP just don't work out.

Diablo II (Altough I don't think it will be called lke that) would be fantastic on DS. Upper screen shows map, inventory, stats, etc.. while lower screen has a spell quickbar which you'd just have to touch to use them. Graphics aren't that mluch of a problem, they won't change them THAT dramatically anyway.

Btw, If Starcraft gets a DS / PsP Version, why not (eventually a sequal of) Warcraft III ? It's a great game :D

I enjoyed the first one soooo much that I have four copies for the PS1.....and I am currenty browsing the net to find ways to get it onto my PSP as I write this so if you did come out with either of the two for PSP then I would be one happy camper!
