Commodore details new gaming PCs
Commodore Gaming has unveiled its new range of high specification gaming PCs complete with new levels of personalisation.
The full range will be unveiled at CeBIT 2007, and will include four models ranging from an entry level gaming PC to an extreme spec model which will feature a quad core intel processor, 4GB of memory and two nVidia 8800 GTX 768MB graphics cards.
"The all new Commodore range of PC's will allow gamers of all levels to enjoy the best that PC gaming has to offer. From beginners to professionals, Commodore Gaming ensures that only the very best components are provided to deliver the ultimate PC gaming experience. We also wanted to bring something new to the market, in the spirit of our Commodore heritage, and have worked hard to design a fully personalised product," said Bala Keilman, CEO for Commodore Gaming.
Each machine can be artistically customised to match the buyer's personal taste. Commodore will be offering specially selected art including street art, photography, PC game artwork (inc GRAW 2) and many other licensed images. Commodore says that a revolutionary painting process will transform the exterior of the PC into an "open and inviting canvas". There is also the opportunity for fans and artists to request and present their creative works to become a limited edition Commodore Gaming PC.
The systems can also feature ambient lighting and Ice Cube cooling to provide extreme levels of cooling. The four systems are the Cg (entry level), Cgs, Cgc and the extreme level Cxx. Each will run Windows Vista 64 bit OS and include only high-end components. Full launch details will be announced at CeBIT which begins today.

cxx is kewl
seems like a good machine to me, if they do what they've told me I'd be very happy, more freedom to choose components and a better looking case (imho), in regards to alienware at least.
I seriously agreed with you on the "include you own stuff".. however, this guy made a good point in askin me how they could then sell it as a game-pc... all games run on windows nowadays? (yes there are emulators, bt would the average gamer really use those?)
I think it's cool...

- Were these people around in the 80's during V1.0 Commodore?
Yes, I know you have to be in the regular PC market to make any money these days. But there has got to be some way to involve the old hardware, a la DTV V2 style devices. If you can at least sell some nostalgia you could probably sell many more cash cow PC's as well.
