Activision announces a version of the forthcoming WWII shooter for the PSP.

While Call of Duty 3 has been known about for a few days now, we didn't know that a version of the game was also coming to the PSP. Call of Duty 3 for the PSP is said to be a "first-person action game," which while being pretty obvious, wasn't guaranteed considering the handheld's less than stellar FPS games so far.

Details on the PSP game haven't been announced, but it wont be a port of the console editions of the game, nor is 'Call of Duty 3 PSP' the final title. Information shouldn't be too far off, as the game is set to ship late this year, as are the current and next-gen versions of the game.
