McNamara still has access to the MotionScan technology.

Brendan McNamara, the writer and director of LA Noire, has been pitching his new game to a number of publishers - a project that tells "one of the great untold stories of the Twentieth Century".

"It's pretty interesting," McNamara told Eurogamer at the Bradford Animation Festival. "It's one of the great untold stories of the Twentieth Century. So I think it'll be good."

The Team Bondi founder stated that he learned "a tonne of things" from his experiences on LA Noire, despite the troubled nature of its development. Team Bondi was forced to close its doors earlier this year.

"A lot of people who were working on LA Noire have gone across to KMM, some of them to be working on some of the film projects," he explained. "A lot of the art and animation guys went across. Some of the people have gone to work in different Rockstar studios.

"I'm personally just writing some new stuff now, which I've been pitching around for the last couple of weeks. Hopefully I'll have something to announce on that pretty soon."

From the sounds of things, McNamara has yet to confirm a deal with a publisher, although he certainly seems optimistic.

"There are a few people interested, yeah," he said. "I've still got to do the paperwork."

McNamara also explained that he still has access to MotionScan - the technology that gave LA Noire its realistic faces.

"I own some of the shares, and some other people own some of the shares. It's a limited company, and there are some other investors in that, too.

"Hopefully towards the end of that [sic] we'll have the full body stuff up and running. That could be pretty interesting, too."

VideoGamer.com Analysis

It's interesting to note that while Rockstar owns the IP for Noire, McNamara still has access to MotionScan. That said, I imagine he'd need a lot of cash to support the use of the technology - and Team Bondi's troubled history might put a few people off.
