Blaze re-releasing Mega Drive

Includes 15 built-in games and plays original carts.

The SEGA Mega Drive is set to make a return in the UK video game market thanks to the April release of the Blaze SEGA Mega Drive.

The 16-bit console is being revived as a low priced two-player home console which features 15 games built in to the console. The console will also play original Mega Drive game cartridges. Two six button controller are also included.

Games included: Alex Kid, Alien Storm, Altered Beast, Arrow Flash, Bonanza Bros., Columns, Crack Down, Decap Attack, E Swat, Fatal Labyrinth, Flicky, Gain Ground, Golden Axe, Shadow Dancer, Sonic And Knuckles.

The Blaze SEGA Mega Drive is scheduled for release on April 24 priced £39.99. You can pre-order on Play.com

I managed to send off for one of these since the Daily Mail did that promotion. I sent off £9.99 and 30 tokens. :D

I really look forward to getting a few Mega Drive carts, as I thought this was just one of those plug-and-play joypads...

Not bad, but I've still got my Megadrive from back in the day.

It's an original model and it still works. I bet current consoles wont be working in 17 years time.

i think the price tag is pretty bad. Wido is right you could probably get a m-drive and a bundle of great games for that price.

In my case I don't really see why there re-releasing the megadrive. Yeah sure, cart port but me I still have a healthy megadrive and ultimate megadrive collection. Why don't they bring out controllers like the megadrive ones, which you will be able to use with the 360 & PS3.

All about the Cart Port for me. Lost my access to a Mega Drive when Bro Left the House. And then i left different Story. Anyhow i managed to rob most his games when I left so the Cart Port is what i'm looking for.
