Bizarre Creations to close this week
News
The Blur and Project Gotham Racing developer to shut up shop on February 18.
Liverpool-based studio Bizarre Creations, best known for its Project Gotham Racing series, Geometry Wars and more recently Blur, will cease operations on Friday, February 18, reports Develop.
Late last year it looked a possibility that the studio would live on under the ownership of a new publisher, but no buyer could be found.
Activision exec Coddy Johnson revealed the publisher had decided the best course of action was to shut the studio.
"Unfortunately, so far we've not been able to find any interested parties. So we've made as a last resort, a recommendation to the team for closure."

Luckily for us it's available free from the Bizarre Website and works great with the linked-to emulator on the same webpage.
So I've kept that as a momento, along with the other 8 games I own that are from the same studio. 9 from 21 ain't bad I guess. Metropolis Street Racer was easily my favourite of the bunch.
So... farewell and thanks for all the fruit.
P.S. What happens to the Blur servers now?
