BioWare is yet to decide if upcoming fantasy RPG Dragon Age: Origins will contain full-frontal nudity during its high-profile sex scenes.

However, it has confirmed that sex will be portrayed in “cut scene-controlled environments” only, with no gameplay elements involved.

In Dragon Age: Origins players will be able to have sex with computer-controlled party members in order to improve their relationships with them. During behind-closed-doors presentations at E3 last month this was shown to press, although the sex scenes were cut short soon after beginning.

BioWare’s hugely popular sci-fi RPG Mass Effect also allowed created characters to have sex, although nudity was avoided.

When asked by VideoGamer.com whether Dragon Age: Origins will contain full frontal nudity, BioWare vice president Greg Zeschuk replied: “I don't think we've worked that out yet, because we can adjust that whenever we want, right? On Mass Effect we worked extensively to figure out, how do we want to portray it? It's not ogling pixels [laughs] – sad but probably titillating, too. I think for us it's more just making sure it fits the context of what we're trying to create.”
