Ubisoft has announced that the first of three episodes from the Assassin's Creed: Lineage short film series was viewed over 1.7 million times in the 24 hour period that followed its premiere on October 27.
On the day of its release, the first episode of Assassin’s Creed: Lineage was also the most commented video.
All three episodes in the Assassin’s Creed: Lineage short film series will be showcased online on November 13, 2009 after the first TV broadcast in several countries.
Created by Ubisoft’s Hybride Technologies, the visual effects studio behind 300 and Sin City, and Ubisoft Digital Arts, Assassin’s Creed: Lineage combines live action and computer generated imagery to explore the events that happen just before the Assassin’s Creed II game starts.
Assassin's Creed II is scheduled for release on November 20 for Xbox 360 and PS3.
