Adam Boyes, PlayStation’s former VP of third-party relations, has joined Iron Galaxy Studios as CEO.

Boyes replaces the company’s founder Dave Lang, VentureBeat reports, although Lang will continue to oversee “all prototypes and business development”.

“I had a yearning to create things,” Boyes said, discussing his decision to leave Sony. “Making games has always been a passion of mine. Looking at the huge experience that Iron Galaxy has, I thought about how I [could] take my experience and amplify that.”

He continued: “I think we are going to kick the world on its ass and have fun doing it.”

Iron Galaxy took control of Killer Instinct’s development on Xbox One and Windows 10 following Double Helix’s acquisition by Amazon in 2014, and developed the PC version of Batman: Arkham Knight. It also worked on the last-gen versions of Destiny and the PS4 and Xbox One remasters of Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel.

Details on the studio’s future titles have yet to be revealed.
