41.7 million Xbox 360s shipped life to date

10.3 million in its most recent financial year.

Microsoft has announced that it shipped 10.3 million Xbox 360 consoles during its 2010 financial year (ended June 30, 2010). This is down from the 11.2 million units shipped in the previous year.

This brings life-to-date shipments for the console to 41.7 million units.

The Entertainment and Devices Division, to which the Xbox belongs, generated over $8 billion in revenue and profits rose from $108 million in 2009 to $679 million in 2010.

In related news, Xbox LIVE continues to grow, now boasting over 25 million members.

Mass Effect 2 was a pretty good game. Fable 3 looks to be like a keeper too. My 2010 PS3 list is much longer though. (DC Universe Online, Heavy Rain, God of War 3, Red Dead Redemption, Mod Nation Racers, Grand Turismo 5, The Last Guardian, Little Big Planet 2, MLB The Show 2010, Final Fantasy 13 (nice to only have 1 disc), Black Ops (mainly because I don't play to play online), Crysis 2 (word is the 360 version isn't coming out that well), Playstation Move and Sports Champions.

I don't know man... I've personally have purchased 2 and plan on getting the slim/kinect bundle. I bet just about every 360 owner in this thread has replaced their 360 at least once.

Actually PS3 has outsold 360 ever since the 2nd half of 2008. Check out the vgchartz for yourself. So far this year PS3 has sold 4,978,909 compared to 360's 4,256,426. I would also argue that a large percentage of those 360's purchased are because of RROD replacements. I for one have bought 2 myself. I'll be buying another one when the arcade/natal bundle comes out because my other 2 are toast. That said, "Long live the PS3." I still have the same one I bought on launch day... plus a 500 gb hard drive I picked up off ebay for $50.

Well you will need to go back in time and look around April articles as thats when Sony announced there fiscal 10 results including sales dates. MS runs june to june hence the announcements.

Either that or Sony PR bit slow waking up today :p

Yeah, but how many of those were the same person buying another one because of RROD (lolololololololololol).

My point being, it says shipped not sold, so many could be exchanges for new ones as RROD is (was) quite common.
