Vivendi has announced record revenues for its gaming division; Vivendi Games exceeding €1 billion in revenues for 2007. This is up by 26.6% over the previous year.

The gains can be attributed to huge revenues generated by Blizzard Entertainment, up by 58% over 2006 to a massive €814 million. The strong increase was driven by the continued momentum of World of Warcraft, notably the release of The Burning Crusade and the rise from eight to ten million subscribers over the course of the year.

Sierra Entertainment, Sierra Online and Vivendi Games Mobile were down by 29% over the previous year, reporting revenues of €204 million, although each of the business is said to have been "impacted by unfavorable currency exchange movements".

While the Online and Mobile divisions each showed growth, Sierra Entertainment's revenues were lower. This has been partly attributed to a line-up of PC and console releases which failed to match sales of the 2006 line-up.
