2ds screen -

The 2DS was already known to feature a single large screen separated into two by the system's casing, but now you can see the screen in all its naked glory.

Modding firm Rose Colored Gaming decided it was time we saw the handheld's innards so has pulled one apart, exposing everything usually hidden by the plastic casing.

"Well, the 2DS one or two LCD debate is over. It is indeed just ONE LCD under a bunch of plastic and metal shrouding," reads a Facebook post with accompanying image.

The 2DS, part of the Nintendo 3DS family, launched last weekend and is priced around £109.

Wow I didn't know this, I guess that it is indeed cheaper to manufacture it like this!

I thought we've already known this for like a month, that the 2DS was just one big screen. Because it's cheaper to manufacture that way.

I think the 2DS will be great for kids under 7 (no way to activate the 3D and mess with their eyesight), and all the clumsy folk that managed to snap the hinge of their DS/3DS.
