Capcom and Sony Pictures team up for Biohazard: Degeneration.

Following a trio of hit live action movies, the Resident Evil series is to get its first full-length CG animated feature, Capcom and Sony Pictures have announced today.

Biohazard: Degeneration is currently in production, with plans for release in 2008. We're promised a brand-new storyline and groundbreaking visual effects.

The Resident Evil series of games has shipped over 33 million units worldwide, with Capcom set to expand the franchise with the imminent release of Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles for Wii and Resident Evil 5 (hopefully in 2008).
