Koei has announced that its futuristic racing game Fatal Inertia will be shipped at launch with the PlayStation 3 in Japan.

Fatal Inertia will be Koei's first game on the PlayStation 3 and also one of the first titles to come from their new Canadian development studio. Due in Spring 2006, Fatal Inertia is a mix of street racing, demolition derbies and rallying, all set in the future where vehicles have no wheels.

The game will feature a wide range of physics based weapons and a variety of "stunning" natural environments in which to race. Physics will form the core of the game with complete interaction between all that appears in the environment. Check out some early screens in the media section, which we think are based on a target render shown at this year's Tokyo Game Show.
