A team of 63 is currently working on the game, which is expected to increase to around 120.

In a recent tour of Sony's London Studio, the Guardian learned that the PlayStation 3 action title Eight Days - first shown at E3 2006 - is now "ramping up to full production". A team of 63 will eventually expand to 80, plus a further 40 outsourced workers.
The London Studio is also working on the PlayStation 3 instalment of The Getaway, with a small team currently in pre-production for the title. Once Eight Days is complete the development team will move across to The Getaway.
"The idea is to have two pre-production teams and one production team, which flips onto whatever product, at that point of time, is ready to have that team working on it," Eight Days senior producer Phil James told the Guardian.

I assumed this had hit the dust considering we've heard nothing of it in nearly 2 years. It was one of the best trailers on show for the PS3 at E306. I'm not sure whether it's a good thing that nothing has been released of it for 2 years, troubled development? Hope not.
