Will be set on a new island location and will sport four-player split-screen.
The BBC's Darren Waters was recently treated to a glimpse at the upcoming titles heading to PlayStation 3, including MotorStorm 2, Resistance 2 and a highly secretive title not scheduled for release until 2009.
MotorStorm 2 is said to be lined up for release in time for Christmas and will abandon the desert setting of the original in favour of a more lush island environment. Also new will be a four-player split-screen mode. Waters says it's still some way from completion but is already looking impressive.
Waters was also shown a trailer for Insomniac Games' Resistance 2 and a game not scheduled for release until 2009. This unannounced and highly secretive title is said to have been immensely impressive, apparently leaving Waters speechless. Exciting stuff indeed.
