Valve were a bit ambitious with their announced release period, and it'll now arrive in Q1 2007.
We had all been looking forward to Half-Life 2: Episode Two, and its pack-in titles Portal and Team Fortress 2, but we're going to have to wait a little longer. It's quite funny to even have thought that a Valve game would release on time, but given the episodic nature of their new releases we had kind of hoped they'd meet their planned pre-Christmas release date.
Anyway, they're now hoping for a release before February 2007, and that includes the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of the game. No price has been announced, but all platforms will be receiving a bumper pack containing all three Half-Life 2 games, Portal and Team Fortress 2, at the price you'd expect to pay for a full-price release. In addition, the PC will receive a reduced price release of Episode Two, although seeing as the game will be a little longer than Episode One, it'll cost a little bit more too.

if you already have a steam account, and hl2, do you need to purchase anything for portal?
