At this week's Code07 event, Codemasters unveiled Operation Flashpoint 2, the sequel to the ultra-realistic military simulator. Although no in-game footage was shown, we're told the game will feature warfare on a scale "unprecedented in first-person shooters."

We're also told that the game will feature an innovative new AI system which has been in development for more than two years, helping to create the most realistic military simulation ever seen.

Online players will also be catered for with the promise of "an extensive multiplayer component" with battles "on an incredible scale."

The game's not out until 2008 so expect information to trickle out of Codemasters' press office over the coming months.
