Strong new entries for Devil May Cry 4 on Xbox 360 and PS3.
Activision's Call of Duty 4 for Xbox 360 remains the top selling game in North America. That's according to software sales figures released by the NPD Group for the month of February.
The Xbox 360 FPS sold 296,200 units over the course of the month, fighting off strong competition from Capcom's Devil May Cry 4 on Xbox 360 which moved 295,200 units.
Wii Play continues to sell well, moving 289,700 units - the Wii Remote and game bundle being too tempting for Wii owners to resist. Devil May Cry 4 for PlayStation 3 comes in at No.4 with sales of 233,500 units. Considering the PS3 install base is considerably smaller than the Xbox 360's in North America, the game's 60,000 deficit compared to the Xbox 360 version is pretty impressive.
Other games of note for the month include Turok on Xbox 360 which managed to sell 197,700 units, and Microsoft's Xbox 360 RPG Lost Odyssey moving an impressive 203,600 units.
