Microsoft shipped 1.7 million Xbox 360 consoles during its final quarter of fiscal year 2011, which ended June 30, 2011. Over the whole year 13.7 million Xbox 360 consoles were shipped, up from the 10.3 million shipped in fiscal 2010.
The ongoing momentum of the Xbox 360, Kinect and Xbox LIVE helped Microsoft's Entertainment & Devices Division record a 45 per cent growth year on year.
