Battlestations Midway takes the top spotBattlestations Midway takes the top spot

After a sustained period at the top of the chart, Capcom's Lost Planet: Extreme Condition bails out of the top five with Eidos' Battlestations: Midway taking the top spot in its debut week. The WWII strategy game claims the No.1 position ahead of Mastertronic's Little Britain: The Video Game, which is the week's highest climber, missing out on the top spot by a meagre 1,000 units.

Other new entries into the All Formats Top 40 include THQ's Avatar: The Legend of Aang at No.13 and the critically acclaimed Okami at No.17 from Capcom's now closed Clover Studio. The game tops the Full Price PS2 chart.

It was a poor week for the Wii, with Wario Ware Smooth Moves down from No.5 to N.o21, Wii Play drops from No.7 to No.27 and The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess dives from No.13 to No.26. It's not all doom and gloom for Nintendo though; both Nintendogs: Lab & Friends and Nintendogs: Dalmatian & Friends re-renter the Top 40.

Next week's chart should be packed with new entries, with the likes of Excite Truck and Supreme Commander looking most likely to challenge at the top. Also look out for Chili Con Carnage, Fuzion Frenzy 2, God Hand, Mario Slam Basketball, TOCA Race Driver 3 Challenge and a selection of budget priced Xbox 360 classics.
