Starting with Sonic the Hedgehog 2.

PlayStation Plus members are being treated to 12 free games this Christmas, beginning today with Sonic the Hedgehog 2.

A new game will be revealed every two days, but once a new game appears the previous freebie will be gone for good, so don't miss out.

The 12 free games will include eight PSN titles, two minis and two PSone Classics - they'll be yours for free for as long as you're a PS Plus subscriber.

Sonic The Hedgehog 2 will be available until December 3, at which point game two will be released.

The 12 Gifts of Christmas promotion comes in addition to December's regular content update.

In addition, PlayStation Store is running a 12 Deals of Christmas which started today with LittleBigPlanet 2 + 10 free DLC packs for £24.99.

Mildly annoyed that it seems like the vast majority of the stuff will be things they've already given free to PS+ers. Great if you're new to PS+, the opposite of great if you're a 'valued customer'.

Do you have to already be a PSplus member to get these or if you joined, say tonight, would you still get them?
