SEGA has announced the winter release of the SEGA Mega Drive Collection, coming to PlayStation 2 and PSP.
The collection promises to be the most comprehensive compilation of classic SEGA titles ever assembled, with more than 30 games in one package. Some of the titles included in the collection are Shinobi III, Altered Beast, Sonic The Hedgehog, Phantasy Star, and the original SEGA Mega Drive version of Golden Axe.
The collection also includes unlockable items such as interviews with the featured games' developers, a museum with lots of interesting facts about each game, a hints area, and some SEGA arcade games from the Mega Drive era. The PSP version will feature wireless multiplayer, making it possible to play a number of the games with your mates.
This latest dose of SEGA nostalgia is scheduled to arrive in stores in time for Christmas, and to our American readers, just replace Mega Drive with Genesis.
