THQ has announced next-gen instalments of the world's best selling off-road racing franchise.
MX vs ATV Untamed is the latest instalment in the best selling franchise, for the first time coming to Xbox 360, PS3, Wii and Nintendo DS. PlayStation 2 and PSP versions will also be released making Untamed the largest cross-platform launch in the franchise's history.
The game will feature bigger, more populated outdoor open-world environments, an X-cross career mode showcasing all eight vehicles and the all-new EnduroCross mode pitting gamers against logs, rocks, mud-pits and more.
The game's physics have also been supercharged with improvements for next-gen versions. Players will now experience throttle-based power-slides, near upside down whips and new scrubs at full speed.
In addition to the game's single-player career mode, online play will also be offered, featuring all the game types. Which versions will feature online play is currently unclear, but as a minimum expect the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions to sport Xbox LIVE and PSN support respectively.
MX vs ATV Untamed is scheduled for release in North America in January 2008 with a European release likely to follow.
