Gears of War claimed eight awards at the 10th Annual Interactive Achievement Awards.
Hosted by actor and comedian Jay Mohr, the 10th Annual Interactive Achievement Awards took place last night, and it was Gears of War that dominated the show.
Microsoft and Epic Games' Gears of War took home eight awards including Overall Game of the Year, Console Game of the Year and Outstanding Achievement in Online Play. The latter was presented to Cliffy B by Sony worldwide studios boss Phil Harrison, and as he accepted the award made it clear how robust the Xbox 360's online system is - to the amusement of Harrison.
Nintendo's Wii Sports also took home its fair share of awards, nabbing three in total including Outstanding Achievement in Game Play Engineering and Outstanding Innovation in Gaming.
Other winners included Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion for Computer Game of the Year, Brain Age: Train Your Brain in Minutes a Day for Handheld Game of the Year and Guitar Hero 2 for Outstanding Achievement in Soundtrack.
