MS reveals Halo animated series

Shane Kim, Microsoft Game Studios boss, has revealed that Bungie is working with Peter Jackson on a Halo animated series.

Peter Jackson's involvement with Microsoft was first announced back at X06 when it was revealed that the Lord of the Rings director was working on an interactive game project.

Things have been pretty much silent since then, with no one any more clued up on the mysterious project.

However, Microsoft's Shane Kim has let slip to GameSpy that Jackson is currently working on a Halo animated series.

"So they [Bungie] have the collaboration with Peter Jackson on the animated series," said Kim. "I'm not sure about the specifics. They'll be done with Halo 3 this year, but we haven't announced any dates on the Halo 3 series."

Further details were not forthcoming from Kim, but could this animated series be in some way part of Jackson's "interactive" game?
