Delayed release will "provide better balance in Take-Two's release schedule".
In a statement about financial guidance included in Take-Two's financial results for its second quarter the company has revealed that the first instalment of its planned Xbox 360 episodic content will now be released during its Q1 fiscal 2009.
"Fiscal 2008 guidance reflects the release of the first instalment of episodic content for Grand Theft Auto IV for Xbox 360 in the first quarter of fiscal 2009 instead of the fourth quarter of fiscal 2008 in order to provide a better balance in Take-Two's release schedule," explained the Take-Two statement.
The previous autumn release had the DLC down for release between September and November, but will now be available between November and January.
In other DLC related news, it has been confirmed that the same team that created the smash hit game are handling development of the episodic content.
