TV Friend Channel allows Japanese Wii owners to control their TV with the Wii Remote.
Wii Remotes all over Japan are rejoicing with news that the latest Wii Channel, TV Friend, will enable the motion sensing device to do what every remote dreams of, controlling a TV. Sadly it doesn't look like we'll be receiving the channel in Europe, with a Nintendo UK spokesperson stating that Nintendo has "No plans for Europe".
In addition to highlighting the shows you're interested in, users of the channel will be able to see what shows friends have an interest in. The channel will also allow users to register a mobile phone number and email address, to which reminders that a selected show is starting soon will be sent.
