An Activision rep seems to have confirmed that a James Bond title from Activision is currently in development at Treyarch. The news comes from Xbox Evolved who contacted Activision on a matter regarding GoldenEye appearing on Xbox LIVE Arcade.
"We have nothing to do with a Goldeneye 007 game, I would think that is Nintendo and Microsoft's deal," said the Activision rep. "Our own Bond game however, from Treyarch is powered by the same technology that made CoD4 and that, along with Treyarch developers CoD5 is coming along very nicely."
We asked our Activision rep for confirmation but were greeted with a "no comment" response. Still, the news of Bond on the CoD4 engine is mightily exciting if genuine. We'd have rather seen Infinity Ward handling development, but Treyarch is certainly capable.
