Despite mixed reviews EA's latest Need for Speed title was still the publisher's biggest title during Q3.
EA has announced that its third financial quarter (ended December 31, 2007) produced record revenue for the publisher, CEO John Riccitiello stating it was "the single biggest revenue quarter for any third party publisher in our industry".
Highlights for the quarter included Need for Speed ProStreet, moving over 5.5 million units internationally; FIFA 08, selling over 4.5 million units - EA's top selling title in the year to date; Rock Band with sales of over 1.5 million across North America; and The Simpsons Game which made it past 4 million sales during the quarter.
EA also notes that for calendar year 2007 it was the No.1 global publisher across all formats with an 18% share in North America and 19% in Europe.
For the current quarter EA will ship Army of Two and FIFA Street 3, alongside Burnout Paradise which was released across North America and Europe earlier this month.
