Rock Band confirmed for iPhone

Will feature 20 licensed songs and support band play.

EA Mobile has announced that Rock Band for iPhone and iPod touch will be released on the App Store this month.

Bringing the band experience to iDevices, Rock Band will allow players to group together with up to four bandmates and perform as a band using bluetooth.

Players will be able to rock out on guitar, bass, drums or vocals to MP3-quality songs on easy, medium or difficult settings. There'll be 20 songs to choose from, including tracks from Smashing Pumpkins, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Foo Fighters, Blink-182 and The Beastie Boys.

Your band needn't stop with the included tracks, with EA confirming that an in-game music store will be open allowing the purchase of additional songs from OK Go, Foo Fighters, Smashing Pumpkins, Lenny Kravitz, Social Distortion, Devo, and more.
