Server costs are set to ramp up, says Molyneux.
Peter Molyneux has taken to Twitter in order to secure extra funding for 22 Cans' first release, Curiosity: What's in the Cube?.
After a troubled launch it has now become apparent to the studio that the app's latest fix will increase server costs.
"We may need help to make the experience truly wonderful, our server costs are going to ramp up with our new fix," Molyneux wrote on Twitter last Friday.
The 22 Cans' website has also been updated with a statement regarding donations.
"We are a small independent developer and due to popular demand we now offer the option for kind people to donate, so that we can make Curiosity the best possible experience it can be. However big or small the donation; it will really help us make Curiosity better," states the website.
Last week Molyneux appeared in a video stating that his development team had found a solution to the app's server problems, but it now appears that extra money will be needed in order to keep the game running as intended.
