Rovio teams up with McDonald's for location-based Angry Birds games in China

Play while you eat in a McDonald's restaurant to unlock exclusive hidden game modes and power-ups.
Rovio, fresh from its partnership with LucasFilm for Angry Birds Star Wars, has announced a deal with McDonald's in China.
People playing Angry Birds inside McDonald's restaurants in China will unlock exclusive game modes and free power-ups. Customers can also vote where they would like to see a real slingshot placed on the iconic golden arches.
"We're delighted about this exciting new initiative in China. Both McDonald's and Rovio are brands that are very focused on their customers, wanting to constantly bring them better and more engaging experiences, and that’s what brought us together," said Christine Xu, vice president of marketing for McDonald’s China.
