The upcoming browser-based Family Guy game doesn't have to be "exactly" like the show, according to Roadhouse Interactive co-founder and chief creative officer Ian Verchere.
In an interview with Gamasutra, Verchere explained:
"It doesn't mean it has to be exactly like the show.
"[Fox] understands we're adapting and extending the Family Guy brand into the online space, and that doesn't mean we can't do anything with it. To their credit Fox and [show production house] Fuzzy Door understand this is a different medium."
He added that creating the traditional 2D style of Family Guy in 3D is a "big challenge," with the development team working on the project using the Unity engine.
