Namco and Bandai consumer video games operations in Europe have combined to become Namco Bandai Games Europe.
The move to combine the operations of Namco and Bandai to form Namco Bandai Games Europe follows on from similar alignment of the two companies in Japan and North America.
"The integration has been extremely exciting for all concerned," said Masayuki Matsuo, president of Namco Bandai Games Europe. "The collective strength of our two companies will allow us to position ourselves and our products more aggressively in Europe, competing alongside top tier publishers and supporting our distribution partners to maximise sales and marketing opportunities."
In case you have no idea who Namco and Bandai are, some of their biggest brands include Ridge Racer, Pac-Man, Digimon and Dragon Ball Z.

Tekken is a game that isn't very popular in Japan. Tekken is much more popular in North America and Europe than it is in Japan.
Xbox 360 is by far the best selling next-generation videogame console in North America and all of the European and Asian countries.
Analysts have said it will take Sony AT LEAST until 2010 to catch up to the Xbox 360 in terms of worldwide sales.
With that in mind, it makes business sense for Namco to release Tekken for the Xbox 360, because the Xbox 360 is the videogame console that offers Namco the largest target market of gamers for Tekken.
Namco, please consider those facts.
