Nintendo has announced that Animal Crossing: Wild World has now shipped more than three million copies worldwide.
Nintendo, it seems, can do no wrong at the moment. Despite a mixed reception from gaming journalists towards the Wii, the general game playing public are lapping up Nintendo's revolutionary console. Animal Crossing: Wild World is also proving a massive success for the platform holder, having surpassed three million units shipped worldwide.
The series is proving so popular that a movie is now in production, with Japanese director Jouji Shimura taking charge. The animated movie is scheduled to hit Japanese cinemas in December, but there are currently no details on a release in other territories.
