Oh man, I've been playing this quite a lot (relative to the amount of spare time I have, at least). Racked up 5 hours in XBL multiplayer and it's SO damn enjoyable. I'll go into detail tomorrow because it's late, but I seriously recommend people take a look at this game. I never thought that Split/Second would have this much work to do to win me over. Good luck, Black Rock.

I got 3 extra codes sent out to me today by Activision for playing online. My online play consisted of spending 10 minutes in a lobby with nobody else before I turned the game off with a slight feeling of disappointment.

From what I've read it's a mix of Wipeout and Mario Kart. I like Wipeout but not too fussed on Mario Kart. Wish I could play Wipeout now actually.

Mine arrived yesterday, thanks! Been too busy with General Knoxx, though, to give it a try. Shall do in the morning!

That's probably a good thing, though. It shows that you still need to race well to win, and that you don't need to use weapons if you don't want to, but they will give you a further advantage. I can't wait to play this game and find out if the handling is close enough to PGR to allow me to overlook the fact that weapons usually ruin racing games :P

Thought it was a bit 'meh' to be honest.

I've won races without using power-ups at all (just by driving cleanly). Makes me wonder if they're really necessary.

I liked the menu screens and overall presentation though. Very slick.

I dunno, this does sound really awesome.
I would have probably been more interested had it not been for the million other games I want to buy.

Me neither, not too fussed though. Doubt I'll play it that much, prefer racing sims.
