With video game publishers focussing more and more on what's around the corner, rather than looking ahead to what's due a year from now, predicting the big games and moments of 2009 isn't easy. But that hasn't stopped us gazing into our gaming crystal ball and bringing you our predictions on what's going to happen next year. Here, we run down our top tips for 2009 for all you Sony fanboys out there.

PS3 price cuts

Although Sony has been adamant in recent weeks about there being no planned PS3 price cut, it's going to happen. No one announces a price cut until just before it happens in order to limit damage to sales, but we reckon a cut and appealing game bundle just in time for the Easter holiday is a nigh-on certainty. We're going to predict a £30 price cut, which will create some very attractive multi-game 80GB PS3 bundles. Whether that's cheap enough is another matter, but we imagine there'll be some more price cutting in the lead up to Christmas 09.
